Phoning it in

We solemnly swear to never tweet while jogging, driving, using the bathroom, attending a funeral, or eating Thai food.

Had to get that out of the way, because we got a new smart phone. Because we love all things new and shiny, and we’re addicted to twitter, we couldn’t bear the agony of withdrawal when “real life” makes us do silly things like Work, or Go to Meetings, or Take a Vacation because our family thinks we need a break.

We asked for recommendations last night to see what apps people are using on their phone. Of course, we had to ignore all the wiseasses who recommended iPhone apps because we’re not self-absorbed Apple groupies.

A cursory look at TinyTwitter was disappointing, as it didn’t have enough pretty colors and useless features to keep us interested. So, on the advice of our friend @redbirdie, we installed Twikini software so we can tweet when we’re away from home.

They have 7 different themes you can use to personalize your screen. This screenshot from their website shows what one of those themes would look like if you were a loser, had no real friends, and only followed the updates of celebrities.

We like the full screen editor, and the way it integrates with Twitpic, which will come in handy the next time some douche in front of us at Starbucks orders a drink like this.

As far as we can tell from our limited experimentation, Twikini doesn’t suck, so if you have a Samsung Jack like us, or some other phone that runs on Windows Mobile, you might want to check it out.

They said if we blogged about their app, they didn’t care if we liked it or hated it, they’d give it to us for free. So, we’re ho-ing ourselves out to save 5 bucks, which we need to play the slots in Vegas this weekend.

BTW: If you’re watching our account so that you can figure out when is a good time to break in and steal our stuff – we have a house sitter, and a dog that doesn’t take too kindly to strangers. Besides that, all our stuff is crap, and you wouldn’t want it anyway.

Some people understand social media. We're here to poke fun at the ones who don't If you see a post that fails, please send a screenshot and URL of the offender to tweetfail@gmail.com

We are not associated with twitter in any way. If you don't like something you see on this blog, it's not their fault.
